Akamai Guardicore Segmentation Specialist

The Role

We are looking for a specialist with hands-on expertise in Akamai Guardicore Segmentation to support the design implementation and ongoing operation of micro-segmentation solutions within a complex enterprise network environment. You will provide critical guidance on policy definition configuration and operational best practices to enhance network security and reduce the attack surface.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide subject matter expertise in Akamai Guardicore Segmentation supporting design and architecture decisions aligned with broader network and security strategies
  
• Lead or contribute to the configuration and deployment of Guardicore segmentation policies across the environment
  
• Define and refine segmentation policies to enforce least-privilege access and reduce lateral movement risks
  
• Provide implementation guidance and hands-on support throughout deployment phases ensuring minimal disruption to operations
  
• Deliver ongoing operational support for the Guardicore platform including troubleshooting policy updates and performance monitoring
  
• Collaborate with network architecture and security teams to ensure segmentation solutions integrate effectively with existing infrastructure
  
• Where required this role may be fulfilled in conjunction with Network Architecture responsibilities
  

Profile

• Demonstrated expertise in Akamai Guardicore Segmentation including design configuration policy management and operational support
  
• Strong understanding of micro-segmentation concepts and zero-trust network security principles
  
• Experience working within complex multi-site enterprise network environments
  
• Knowledge of Cisco networking technologies and their interaction with segmentation solutions
  
• Ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities across multiple stakeholders
  
• Fluent in English ; German is a strong advantage
