Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Accounting Controller to join a Central Administration team in Luxembourg.
In this role you will be responsible for the accounting and supervision of complex fund structures investing in Real Estate Infrastructure Private Debt and Private Equity.
You will ensure that operations and NAV calculations are processed accurately within agreed timelines and in accordance with applicable accounting standards including Lux GAAP IFRS and/or US GAAP.
You will also review and approve the work performed by other Fund Accountants.
- Perform NAV calculations and NAV oversight including portfolio valuation bookings and investor activities.
- Supervise accounting operations related to complex alternative investment structures.
- Identify and investigate potential risks during reporting periods and ensure ongoing monitoring and compliance.
- Anticipate potential risks and assess their impact on NAV calculations and transactions.
- Escalate issues appropriately and contribute to their resolution.
- Ensure that Custodian Depositary/Safekeeping and Transfer Agency duties are correctly applied and respected.
- Support client billing activities and liaise with key stakeholders regarding KPIs.
- Review and approve the work performed by Fund Accountants within offshore operations teams.
- Ensure agreed deadlines accounting standards and quality requirements are consistently met.
- 5 to 10 years of experience in Fund Accounting with a strong focus on financial services and fund structures.
- Strong knowledge of NAV calculation and oversight.
- Good knowledge of IFRS Lux GAAP and/or US GAAP.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
- Good understanding of banking and fund industry operations and processes.
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders and service providers.
- Ability to professionally represent the organisation with internal and external stakeholders.
- Fluent in French and English.
- ACCA qualification or equivalent would be considered an asset.
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Accounting Finance or a related field.
- Previous experience reviewing or supervising the work of other Fund Accountants.
