VIRTUAL POWER PLANT EXPERT (FMD)

Were looking for a new colleague to join our Algorithmic Trading & Research team. We trade power in wholesale and ancillary services markets and manage the largest solar generation and consumption portfolios in the Baltics. Were expanding our flexible asset portfolio quickly with stand-alone battery storage (BESS) solar and wind. Were also making our existing portfolio flexible through demand-side response and residential PV and battery this role youll own the full process of connecting new assets to our VPP platforms so their flexibility is ready to trade in wholesale and ancillary services markets.

You will contribute to secure and green energy ecosystem creation by:

• Working with engineers and developers to connect new assets to the VPP platforms used by the team
• Running the prequalification process for ancillary services and ensuring every step meets system operator requirements while documenting the process
• Documenting asset technical characteristics in accordance with the requirements of our trading engineers
• Setting up and maintaining quality assurance processes that keep asset uptime as high as possible
• Leading the business strategy for growing the VPP portfolio and adding new asset types
• Managing procurement of VPP-related services and platforms together with IT security and compliance colleagues

Qualifications :

• A degree in a quantitative or engineering field
• At least 3 years of work experience in the energy industry preferably on renewables and BESS projects
• A strong understanding of VPP technology and hands-on experience using it
• Great communication skills in English (writing and speaking)
• Proactiveness responsibility collaboration skills and the ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment

Would be an advantage:

•  General knowledge of communication protocols and secure networking
•  A technical understanding of wind solar and BESS technologies
•  Programming experience in Python
