Senior xEngineer (Backend Oriented) CTO Team

At Wix velocity and reliability are the core principles behind shipping products. Join our Backend Engineering Guild as a Senior Backend Engineer for the CTO Team in Vilnius where youll be at the heart of Wixs technical operations.

In this role youll collaborate with cross-functional teams adapt to diverse workflows and drive success by delivering innovative solutions that support the companys strategic goals. You will have the opportunity to work hands-on with Scala Java and delivering high-quality support and results.

In your day-to-day you will:

• Work closely with diverse teams adapting to their processes and respecting established workflows

• Deliver innovative solutions while supporting teams in achieving their goals

• Take a hands-on approach with Scala Java and to develop robust backend services

• Plan design build and maintain systems while working closely with Wix developers to improve their experience and eliminate velocity blockers

Qualifications :

• 3 years of experience as a backend developer

• Technical Stack: Hands-on experience with Java and

• An in-depth understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and SOLID principles

• Skilled in debugging and investigating production issues with the ability to recognize and address bad code

• A team player who values ownership and accountability while always being ready to lend a hand and support each other

• A versatile skill set with the ability to transition smoothly between platforms and diverse technical environments

• A commitment to delivering consistent timely results and a proven track record of meeting high-quality standards

• Enthusiastic about solving critical business problems and conceiving unconventional out-of-the-box solutions

Its an advantage if you:

• Are proficient in SQL and NoSQL databases

• Have knowledge of gRPC and Protobuf

• Are familiar with Scala or other functional and modern programming languages
