HEAD OF GROUP ENERGY TRADING (FMD)

Ignitis Group is transforming its operating model by validating and pontentially consolidating currently decentralized trading balancing and portfolio management activities into a single Integrated Trading & Optimization function. We are seeking for a leader to map the current organizational capabilities identify value leaks as well as value maximizers and suggest an organizational architecture with best-in-class trading function that maximizes value across the full asset and customer portfolio including scaling flexibility capabilities.

You will contribute to green and secure energy ecosystem creation by:  

• Mapping and validating current trading balancing and portfolio management activities across the Group in order to create a unified Group value focused function
• Designing and implementing the target operating model for integrated trading across all asset classes (renewables conventional flexibility)
• Potentially consolidating fragmented teams into a single Group value-driven function with clear value optimization KPIs 
• Leading end-to-end portfolio optimization: generation supply trading and customer flows
• Developing and executing asset-backed trading strategies including renewables and BESS
• Validating and building potentially centralized capabilities in algorithmic trading forecasting and risk management frameworks covering markets of operation Lithuania Latvia Estonia Poland and Finland
• Expanding into flexibility and optimization services for external B2B/B2C customers
• Ensuring full compliance with EU energy market regulations and evolving market design 
• Acting as a key voice internally on market strategy risk and commercial optimization

Qualifications :

• 10 years in energy trading/portfolio optimization with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role
• Proven track record of building or transforming trading functions within a European integrated utility or major energy trader
• Deep expertise in: Power markets (day-ahead intraday balancing); Renewable integration and offtake structures; Portfolio/risk management and hedging strategies
• Hands-on experience with Nord Pool or equivalent European power exchanges 
• Strong understanding of EU regulatory frameworks (REMIT balancing markets capacity mechanisms etc) 
• Demonstrated success in leading complex organizational change (integration centralization culture shift)  
• Experience managing large cross-functional teams (trading analytics risk operations)
• Strong commercial mindset with clear value creation track record

Salary range for this position group starts from 6550 EUR (before taxes). The final offer depends on experience and competence.
