Responsible for the improvement of metallurgical accounting standards to be aligned with the Amira code for Metallurgical accounting as applicable to the operations.
Keep abreast of the latest developments innovations and technologies and ensure continuous improvement Effect of cost and budget deviations is managed Provided systems practices methods and procedures are implemented maintained and continuously improved.
Ensure production / service is planned (Quality and quantity outputs through the utilization of domain resources are supervised) continuously implemented analyzed and improved.
Monitor quality efficiency and performance.
Analyses and review blend sheets raw materials and finished product make recommendations for and implement improvement programs.
Improve decision-making at the next upper level raw data is provided Utilize specialist knowledge and experience to solve problems in domain process design specifications for new process facilities are compiled.
Ensuring that output is achieved with supervised investigations and problem solving on operating plants/for clients are performed.
Commissioning of new projects / processing facilities are performed Within constraints provisions; resources are provided and coordinated.
Set objectives with regards to metallurgical costs health & safety and labor requirements (The who what where when how and why for at least longer than 3 months ahead is planned).
Identify deviations through trend analysis timorously Provide assistance in making provision for unit requirements in overall budget inputs.
Ensuring open communication channels with all relevant stakeholders.
Sourcing contracting and negotiating with service providers.
Liaising with the necessary entities on any environmental management related requirements and alignment where applicable.
Collaborating with external service providers regarding the design and implementation of tools to enhance processes.
Working Cost Budgets: Setting and approving budgeting parameters for the Division in line with business requirements and financial objectives.
Formulating monthly and annual budgets.
Cost Savings: Leading and driving cost saving and cash conservation initiatives
Requirements
BSc/B-tech degree in Metallurgy or Chemical engineering.
5 years of relevant post graduate experience within a Pyrometallurgical environment (Rotary kiln Reduction Furnaces / and Refining furnaces)
Extensive experience in Pyrometallurgical environment (Rotary kiln Reduction Furnaces / and Refining furnaces)
Sound understanding of research and development process principles in the industry
Highly computer literate and well experienced in Microsoft office.
Good communication skills for effective liaison and teamwork.
Problem-solving skills analytical skills and attention to detail.
