Job Summary
Purpose: In this role team leader will be responsible for overseeing the production process ensuring efficiency quality and safety standards are met. You will guide a team helping them achieve production goals and grow in their roles. Your ability to solve problems manage pressure and maintain a systematic approach will be key to your success.
Responsibility:
Planning: Develops and manages daily and monthly production plans allocating labor equipment and resources to meet deadlines.
Leading: Provides direction and guidance to the production team through daily meetings ensuring clear communication of goals targets and performance feedback.
Organizing: Coordinates staff schedules training and equipment readiness to ensure smooth and efficient production operations.
Controlling: Monitors production output enforces quality controls ensures compliance with procedures and takes corrective action where required.
Motivating: Builds a positive team culture by recognizing performance promoting teamwork and encouraging continuous improvement.
SOP Training and Adherence: Ensures all team members are trained competent and compliant with Standard Operating Procedures and company policies.
Health Safety and Environment: Enforces health and safety standards conducts regular inspections and promotes a safe compliant and hazard-free workplace. Production Documentation: Verifies and submits accurate production documentation and reconciliations to Finance daily ensuring all records are complete and compliant.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Metallurgical / Chemical Engineering
- 5 years of relevant post graduate experience within a Pyrometallurgical environment (Rotary kiln Reduction Furnaces / and Refining furnaces)
- Level & Type of Knowledge Experience & Skills Required:
- Effective problem solving and decision-making skills Sound verbal and written communication skills
- An understanding of Safety Health Environment and Environmental legislation
- Ability to coach and mentor Goal orientated stable demonstrate integrity and be able to make decisions under pressure
- Basic computer skills will be an advantage
- Good experience in Pyrometallurgical environment (Rotary kiln Reduction Furnaces / and Refining furnaces)
Required Skills:
