Head of Cardiac Anesthesia & ICU
Department: Cardiac Anesthesia & Intensive Care Unit
Reports To: Chief Medical Officer (CMO)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Preferred Nationality: Western European / American
Job Summary:
The Head of Cardiac Anesthesia & ICU will provide strategic and clinical leadership for the Cardiac Anesthesia and Intensive Care Unit. The role will oversee the delivery of safe evidence-based cardiac anesthesia and critical care services while managing medical staff developing clinical protocols supporting quality improvement initiatives and driving departmental development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Cardiac Anesthesia & ICU department.
- Develop and implement clinical protocols and standards of care.
- Provide anesthesia for adult cardiac surgical procedures.
- Oversee postoperative critical care management.
- Supervise consultants specialists and junior physicians.
- Participate in multidisciplinary patient management.
- Ensure compliance with accreditation and patient safety standards.
- Lead departmental quality improvement and research initiatives.
- Mentor and develop medical staff.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Medical Degree (MD or equivalent).
- Specialist Degree/Board Certification in Anesthesiology.
- Fellowship in Cardiac Anesthesia.
- Current medical license or eligibility for licensure.
Experience Required:
- Minimum 10 years of post-specialization experience.
- Extensive cardiac anesthesia and ICU leadership experience.
