Job Summary

Job Purpose

To operate crushing and grinding equipment to prepare feed material to the leach circuits target size specification.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate crushers mills and associated conveyors/screens per SOPs
  • Monitor product size and grind quality adjusting equipment settings as required
  • Carry out routine equipment checks and report faults promptly
  • Maintain safe isolation/lockout practices around moving and rotating equipment
  • Manage feed material handling and stockpile housekeeping
  • Maintain accurate production logs

Requirements
  • Secondary education; basic plant operations training

Experience:

Essential:

  • 2 years experience operating crushing grinding or comminution equipment in a mining or minerals processing environment

Skills / Competencies:

Required Skills:

BSc/B-tech degree in electrical Engineering 5 years of relevant post graduate experience within a Pyrometallurgical environment (Rotary kiln Reduction Furnaces / and Refining furnaces) Level & Type of Knowledge Experience & Skills Required: Strong knowledge of applicable engineering codes standards and safety regulations. Proficiency in engineering software and design tools relevant to E&I systems. Experience in project execution including testing and commissioning of E&I systems. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively within cross-functional teams. Proficiency in engineering design review and technical assurance Ability to interpret and approve electrical drawings and calculations Sound understanding of EPC and construction methodologies
