Role Overview

RSM in Kuwait is looking to appoint a Senior Manager to its Assurance practice. The role involves managing statutory audit engagements from planning through to completion and working closely with audit teams and clients across a range of industries. This is an in-office position based at the RSM in Kuwait office in Sharq Kuwait.

Key Responsibilities

Plan execute and oversee statutory audit engagements across a portfolio of clients in line with International Standards on Auditing (ISA) and applicable regulatory requirements
Review audit working papers and financial statements prepared by the engagement team and discuss findings with engagement partners
Supervise coach and support audit managers seniors and associates throughout the engagement cycle
Manage engagement budgets timelines and re-sourcing to support the delivery of audits within agreed plans
Maintain client relationships and act as a day-to-day point of contact for engagement matters
Monitor developments in IFRS ISA and relevant industry regulations and apply these to engagement work
Identify audit and business risks and communicate these to engagement partners promptly
Support business development activities including proposals and client meetings
Contribute to the training and professional development of audit staff

Work Arrangement

This is an in-office role based at the RSM in Kuwait office in Sharq Kuwait.

Requirements

Qualifications

10 years of relevant experience primarily in statutory audit
Professional qualification such as CPA CA ACCA or equivalent
Prior experience with a Big Four firm is an advantage
Working knowledge of IFRS and ISA
Experience managing audit teams and multiple concurrent engagements
Fluent in English; Arabic language skills are an advantage

Clear written and verbal communication including report writing
Ability to build collaborative working relationships with clients and colleagues
Sound judgment in identifying and addressing audit and accounting issues
Organized approach to managing competing engagement deadlines
