Job Description: Science Teacher (Physics IGCSE)
Position: Science Teacher (Physics IGCSE)
Role Overview Responsible for delivering Physics instruction under the Cambridge IGCSE curriculum to a class of up to 30 students using creative differentiated teaching strategies to meet each learners needs while maintaining accurate records and effective classroom management.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and post weekly lesson plans on MS Teams every Wednesday; submit long-term plans by end of March
- Create and implement assessments per the quarterly assessment calendar aligned with IGCSE standards
- Maintain student records including profiles progress reports and report cards
- Take daily attendance and log student behavior concerns using the relevant school modules
- Ensure effective non-punitive classroom management seeking social worker support as needed
- Maintain high standards of classroom and corridor displays showcasing student work
- Plan and conduct after-school remedial support for students needing intervention
- Plan curriculum-linked field trips submitting plans to the Principals office 2 weeks in advance
- Communicate regularly with parents via the schools communication platform and coordinate with the social worker on at-risk students
- Attend staff meetings grade team meetings curriculum reviews and PTMs
- Support colleagues during short leaves of absence
- Participate in at least one committee school assemblies events and one after-school extracurricular activity

Reports
- Daily lesson plans submitted every Wednesday on Curriculum Track

- Progress reports and report cards as per schedule
- Bachelors/Masters degree in Physics with a . or equivalent teaching qualification
- Strong Physics subject background required with the ability to teach under the Cambridge IGCSE curriculum
- 14 years of teaching experience preferably with IGCSE exposure
- Transferable visa required; immediate joining preferred
