Job Summary
We are currently looking for a Protection Engineer Relay Systems for one of our clients in Kuwait.
- Configure test and commission protection relays for LV & MV switchgear systems.
- Develop and implement protection schemes based on project and operational requirements.
- Perform relay coordination and protection studies to ensure system reliability and safety.
- Conduct Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and site testing activities.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot protection system issues during testing and commissioning stages.
- Coordinate with engineering and project teams to ensure smooth execution and compliance with standards.
Experience Required:
- Hands-on experience with numerical protection relays such as ABB Siemens Schneider Electric or similar brands.
- Strong understanding of electrical protection philosophies and relay coordination concepts.
- Experience in LV & MV switchgear systems and associated protection schemes.
- Familiarity with relay testing equipment such as Omicron will be an added advantage.
- Good analytical troubleshooting and technical reporting skills.
Candidates with strong commissioning and relay testing experience in industrial or utility projects will be preferred.
Required Skills:
Experience Required: Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in switchgear protection systems and protection relays is mandatory.
