Position Overview:
The Full-Time Faculty member in Physics will teach undergraduate physics courses mentor students and contribute to the academic mission of the School of Arts and Sciences. This position is responsible for fostering a collaborative and inclusive learning environment applying innovative teaching methods and integrating real-world applications into the curriculum to prepare students for academic and professional success.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate physics courses ranging from introductory to advanced levels.
• Develop and deliver course materials using effective and innovative teaching practices across multiple modalities (classroom hybrid and online).
• Advise mentor and support students in their academic and professional development.
• Engage in program and course assessment to ensure continuous improvement and alignment with learning outcomes.
• Contribute to curriculum development and enhancement to broaden program offerings.
• Participate in faculty governance service and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Required Qualifications

• PhD in Physics or a closely related field (PhD preferred).
• University teaching experience (preferred).
• Background in program and course outcomes assessment (highly desirable).
• Strong familiarity with modern teaching methodologies interactive pedagogy student-centered learning and inclusive educational practices.
• Demonstrated commitment to innovation in teaching and continuous professional development.
• Evidence of a dynamic and adaptable approach to instructional practice.
• Active engagement in research projects and academic conferences.
• Evidence of peer-reviewed scholarly publications.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
• Experience working effectively in multicultural academic environments.
• Demonstrated adaptability to diverse cultural norms and expectations.
