Job Summary

This is an internship of up to 6 months expected to start in mid to late August 2026. Candidates must be based in Nairobi and have access to a home office setup that supports full-time remote work.

Responsibilities

  • Detailed high-level report writing around different sustainable finance topics including clean energy debt sustainable transport sustainable sovereign debt built environment and other major impact investment themes
  • Organising events project management and stakeholder management
  • Working on multiple projects and ensuring deliverables are completed before deadlines
  • Preparing presentations and documents in support of BwB advisory work
  • Developing revenue and cost models transactional due diligence and structuring 
  • High-level research of key data points in projects 
  • Support the design and execution of development and climate-aligned investment solutions
  • Conduct research and analysis across health education energy and agriculture sectors

Skills required

  • Excellent interpersonal and effective communication skills
  • Passion for sustainable development and on the role that finance can play
  • Highly motivated with a desire to learn and develop professional competencies
  • Able to work independently ensuring deliverables are completed accurately and satisfy deadlines set
  • Proficient when it comes to report writing and managing timelines
  • Team player willing to adapt to new challenges in a fast entrepreneurial environment
  • Some examples of desirable skills include research presentation building and financial modelling. Experience or demonstrated capability in any of these areas would be viewed positively
  • Proficiency in English is required mastery of a second language is highly desirable

Qualifications :

  • A recent graduate ideally with a background in Sustainable Finance Climate Change or International Development.
  • Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook Excel Word PowerPoint etc.)
