Security Systems Design Specialist

We are looking for a Security Systems Design Specialist to join our technical design team. This role is responsible for designing solutions across security and life safety systems including CCTV Access Control PAVA (Public Address/Voice Alarm) Entrance Control IP-PABX and Intercom systems and translating them into accurate technical drawings and documentation for project delivery.

• Design solutions across security and life safety systems including but not limited to CCTV Access Control PAVA Entrance Control IP-PABX and Intercom
• Prepare and generate 2D and 3D drawings in AutoCAD and other applicable design software including working drawings and As-Built drawings
• Conduct site surveys and produce sketches to inform solution design
• Develop and prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ) from designed solutions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams project managers engineers and clients to understand project requirements objectives and constraints
• Attend project meetings with clients and other stakeholders
• Manage project communications through Minutes of Meetings (MoMs)
• Interact and communicate effectively with various team members throughout project design work
• Identify and propose strategic solutions to improve design workflows
• Stay current on industry trends emerging technologies and design practices and incorporate them into project deliverables
• Follow and adhere to relevant design standards and guidelines

• Diploma or Degree in Engineering (Mechanical Electrical Civil) or Urban Planning
• Minimum 2 years experience in a similar technical design role
• Proficiency in AutoCAD/REVIT and other CAD design software
• Strong understanding of design principles and user-centered design methodologies as applied to technical systems

• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
