Satellite Field Associate
Job Summary
The Satellite Field Associate is Greenwheels on-the-ground representative at a satellite hub responsible for the daily running of the station supporting drivers maintaining fleet and battery infrastructure and ensuring accurate reporting to the central operations team.
This role is critical to extending Greenwheels reach and service quality beyond Nairobi acting as the trusted local point of contact for drivers within the assigned territory.
- Open and close the satellite hub daily in line with company operating hours and standards.
- Manage battery swap operations ensuring charged batteries are available and depleted units are cycled correctly.
- Conduct basic visual inspections of motorbikes at the hub and escalate any maintenance or safety issues to the technical team.
- Maintain hub cleanliness branding and organization in line with Greenwheels standards.
- Serve as the first point of contact for drivers at the station including checking drivers in and out and resolving day-to-day queries.
- Support onboarding of drivers by providing orientation on hub procedures battery handling and safety practices.
- Escalate unresolved driver issues including payments lease terms and disputes to the relevant department promptly.
- Track and manage spare parts batteries and consumables inventory at the hub flagging shortages in advance.
- Maintain accurate daily records of battery swaps driver visits and incidents using the companys reporting system.
- Reconcile float handled at the station weekly.
- Submit daily and weekly reports on hub activity driver footfall and equipment status to the Regional Operations Supervisor.
- Follow all safety protocols for battery handling and electrical equipment at all times.
- Uphold Greenwheels standards of conduct uniform use and professionalism while representing the brand locally.
Performance in this role will be assessed against:
- Hub uptime and adherence to operating hours
- Battery swap turnaround time and availability rate
- Driver satisfaction and issue-resolution turnaround
- Inventory accuracy and float reconciliation record
- Reporting timeliness and completeness
- Leads generated from the satellite hub and conversion rate
- Diploma or degree in a business-related course.
- At least 1 year of experience in field operations customer service or a similar on-the-ground role.
- Basic understanding of electrical or mechanical equipment is an added advantage but not mandatory.
- Reliable punctual and comfortable working independently at a remote station with minimal supervision.
- Strong customer service orientation and the ability to de-escalate driver concerns calmly and professionally.
- Basic smartphone/tablet literacy and the ability to use digital tools for daily reporting.
- Physically able to handle battery units and perform light equipment checks.
- Trustworthy and responsible when handling cash and maintaining inventory records.
Required Skills:
Skills & Abilities: A Bachelors Degree or Diploma in Finance Accounting Business Administration or a related field. Strong foundational computer skills including proficiency in Google Workspaces or Microsoft Office suite(Especially spreadsheets like Excel and Google Sheets) Good communication and Interpersonal skills with the ability to handle customer interactions professionally. Strong Organizational and interpersonal skills to effectively handle multiple tasks and priorities. Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in data entry and record keeping. Familiarity with accounting software and tools particularly Zoho is a valuable asset.
