About This Job:
Q-Sourcing Limited trading as Q-Sourcing Servtec is a manpower management solutions firm operating in the East African Region in the countries of Uganda Kenya Tanzania Rwanda and South Sudan.
On behalf of our client we are looking for a competent skilled and experienced Senior Building Engineer to work in Kenya.
Job Purpose
The Senior Building Engineer will lead the planning design execution and supervision of building projects. The role involves managing multidisciplinary engineering teams ensuring compliance with Kenyan building codes and EBK standards and delivering projects on time within budget and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Planning & Design
Lead planning design execution and supervision of building projects.
Review and approve engineering drawings specifications and technical reports.
Promote sustainable and energy-efficient building solutions.
2. Team Leadership & Coordination
Manage multidisciplinary engineering teams and coordinate with architects structural MEP and contractors.
Mentor junior engineers and promote continuous improvement.
3. Compliance & Quality Assurance
Ensure compliance with Kenyan building codes EBK standards safety environmental and quality requirements.
Conduct site inspections monitor progress and resolve technical issues.
4. Project Management
Manage project schedules budgets risks and resources.
Support procurement contractor evaluation and contract administration.
Prepare project reports and communicate with clients and stakeholders.
Education
Bachelors degree in Civil Structural Building or Construction Engineering.
Registered Professional Engineer with the Engineers Board of Kenya (EBK).
Experience
Minimum of 7 years experience in building engineering.
At least 3 years in a senior or supervisory role.
Experience delivering residential commercial institutional or public infrastructure projects.
Knowledge of Kenyan building regulations contract administration and HSE requirements.
Technical Skills
Proficiency in MS Office MS Project and AutoCAD.
Knowledge of Revit/BIM is an advantage.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Core Competencies

High integrity and professionalism.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects.
