Qualifications and Requirements
Academic Qualifications
- Diploma in Pharmaceutical Technology from a recognized institution accredited by the relevant regulatory authorities.
- A Certificate in Pharmaceutical Technology.
Professional Qualifications
- Registered as a Pharmaceutical Technologist with the Pharmacy and Poisons Board (PPB) Kenya.
- Holds a valid Annual Practising Licence issued by the Pharmacy and Poisons Board.
Experience
- At least one (1) year of relevant experience in a retail hospital or community pharmacy is preferred.
- Experience using pharmacy management systems and point-of-sale (POS) software is an added advantage.
Knowledge
- Good understanding of pharmaceutical products dispensing procedures and over-the-counter (OTC) medications.
- Knowledge of the Pharmacy and Poisons Act PPB regulations and Good Pharmacy Practice (GPP) guidelines.
- Basic knowledge of inventory management and stock control.
- Familiarity with prescription interpretation and pharmaceutical terminology.
