Job Summary
- Experience with UniData or related MultiValue environments.
- Knowledge of BASIC or demonstrated programming skills that enable quick adoption of MultiValue BASIC.
- Experience with SB (SystemBuilder) or other 4GL languages is a plus.
- Proficiency or experience with JavaScript Java HTML5 and CSS.
- Experience building and consuming RESTful web services/APIs.
- Knowledge of Unit Testing TDD Scrum and Agile development practices.
- Experience with GitHub Copilot Claude Code or similar AI-assisted coding tools.
- Background in Payroll HR or Accounting is highly desirable.
- Strong problem-solving communication interpersonal and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with Engineering QA Product Management Customer Support and customers.
- Develop maintain debug and enhance applications using UniData BASIC.
- Troubleshoot technical issues across all application tiers.
- Collaborate with QA to ensure software quality functionality reliability and performance.
- Use AI-assisted engineering tools to accelerate development improve code quality and better understand existing systems.
- Participate actively in Agile development teams and R&D initiatives.
- Improve the reliability scalability and maintainability of existing applications.
- Manage priorities and deadlines proactively identifying when assistance is needed.
- Build deep expertise in the product its technologies architecture and design patterns.
- Demonstrate strong ownership teamwork integrity empathy enthusiasm and results orientation.
