Role Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced Finance & Accounts Manager to oversee the companys financial operations within the flower export business. The role will manage day-to-day accounting export invoicing cash flow supplier payments payroll receivables payables and statutory compliance.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in export finance excellent knowledge of KRA compliance and the ability to manage financial operations involving growers international export clients suppliers and logistics providers.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full accounting function including Accounts Receivable Accounts Payable General Ledger reconciliations and financial records.
• Prepare and issue invoices to export clients and manage receivables from growers and international customers.
• Manage supplier accounts payments reconciliations and related financial documentation.
• Monitor cash flow prepare cash flow forecasts and ensure adequate funds are available for operational requirements.
• Reconcile air freight clearing forwarding logistics and other export-related costs and monitor cost efficiency.
• Manage payroll processing including payments for casual and other employees.
• Prepare monthly management accounts financial reports budgets and variance analysis.
• Ensure compliance with KRA requirements including VAT withholding tax PAYE and other applicable statutory obligations.
• Maintain accurate records for export transactions and ensure compliance with relevant tax and financial regulations.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure all required financial documentation is readily available.
• Work closely with the Farm Operations Procurement and Management teams to ensure effective financial planning and control.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to management to support business decisions and cost management.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance Commerce or a related field.
• CPA (K) qualification is mandatory.
• Minimum 4 years experience in finance and accounting preferably within the flower export floriculture air cargo or export trading industry.
• Proven experience handling export invoicing receivables payables cash flow and general ledger functions.
• Strong knowledge of KRA taxation and statutory compliance.
• Experience managing supplier and international client accounts.
• Proficiency in accounting systems such as QuickBooks Sage or similar platforms.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with strong analytical and reporting capabilities.
