Driver

Our client is a well established manufacturer and distributor of tissue hygiene and consumer products serving customers across Kenya and the wider East African region.

We are seeking reliable and experienced Canter Drivers to facilitate the safe and timely transportation of company products to customers and designated delivery points while ensuring proper vehicle handling and adherence to road safety regulations.

• Safely operate the assigned Canter truck to transport and deliver products to designated destinations.

• Follow assigned delivery routes and schedules to ensure timely deliveries.

• Assist with loading and offloading goods when required.

• Conduct routine pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.

• Ensure the vehicle is clean roadworthy and properly maintained.

• Report mechanical faults accidents and maintenance requirements promptly.

• Adhere to traffic laws road safety regulations and company driving procedures.

• Verify delivery documents against goods transported.

• Obtain customer acknowledgements and signatures upon delivery.

• Maintain accurate trip records fuel usage records and delivery documentation.

• Report delivery discrepancies damaged goods and other issues to the relevant supervisor.

• Maintain professional conduct when interacting with customers and colleagues.

• Handle company products responsibly to minimise damage and losses.

• Communicate delivery delays and route challenges promptly.

• Minimum KCSE certificate.

• Valid driving licence appropriate for the assigned Canter vehicle.

• At least 23 years of experience driving Canter trucks or similar commercial vehicles.

• Valid NTSA documentation and relevant driver qualifications.

• Good knowledge of Nairobi roads and surrounding delivery routes.

• Experience in FMCG distribution or goods delivery will be an added advantage.

• Basic knowledge of vehicle inspection maintenance and road safety procedures.
