JOB TITLE:DESIGN SPECIALIST
IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: PROJECT DESIGN TEAM LEAD
INDIRECT SUPERVISOR:SENIOR BUSINESS MANAGER
HEAD OF SALES
HUMAN RESOURCES
INTERNAL & EXTERNAL COMMUNICATION:INTERNAL (STAFF DEPARTMENTS).
EXTERNAL (VISITORS CLIENTS).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Design solutions in the security system and live safety systems environments. This includes but are not limited to CCTV Access Control PAVA Entrance Control IPBAX and Intercom.
- Prepare and generate 2D and 3D drawings in AutoCAD and other design software as maybe applicable. This includes working drawings and As Built Drawings.
- Conduct site surveys and make sketch for solutions design.
- Develop and prepare bill of quantities from the designed solutions.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams e.g. Project managers engineers and clients to understand project requirements objectives and constraints.
- Attending project meetings with the clients and other stakeholders.
- Manage project communications by means of MoMs.
- Interact and effectively communicate with various team members in project design work
- Identify and provide strategic work solutions to improve design work.
- Stay updated on industry trends emerging technologies and design practices and incorporate them into project deliverables.
- Follow and adhere to the reputed design standards and guidelines as may be applicable.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in any Engineering Field Mechanical Electrical Civil or Urban Planning.
- Minimum of 2yrs experience in a similar field.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD/REVIT and any other CAD Design software.
- Strong understanding of design principles brand identity and user centered design methodologies.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem solving and decision-making abilities.
- Exceptional attention to details.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
