Job Summary

Our client in the manufacturing sector and based in Nairobi is seeking the services of a results oriented driven and high performing Credit Officer.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis to assess the creditworthiness of new and existing customers.
  • Define and implement credit limits and payment terms in line with the company policies.
  • Regularly review and manage the customer portfolio to identify and mitigate potential credit risks.
  • Oversee the end-to-end order-to-cash cycle ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
  • Drive cash collection activities to meet monthly and annual targets actively managing the accounts receivable ledger.
  • Lead the timely resolution of customer disputes claims and deductions by coordinating with sales and logistics teams.
  • Act as a strategic partner to the business providing expert advice to find solutions that enable sales growth while managing risk.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers to facilitate smooth payment processes.
  • Prepare and present monthly performance reports on collection activities aged debt and risk exposure to senior management.
  • Ensure all credit and collection processes are compliant with internal controls and legal regulations.


Requirements
Key Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting or Economics.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in Financial Controlling or Management Accounting.
  • Experience in FMCG is an added advantage
  • Proficiency in SAP is a plus
  • Advanced excel proficiency
  • Collaboration with good relationship and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines
