Summary:

The Construction Supervisor plays a pivotal role in ensuring the successful execution of construction projects from inception to completion. Reporting to the Project Manager this position is responsible for overseeing daily on-site operations enforcing safety standards managing labor and material resources and maintaining project quality and timelines. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in building and construction principles the ability to interpret technical blueprints and a proven track record in team leadership and job scheduling. This role is critical in bridging the gap between project planning and on-site implementation ensuring all work adheres to design specifications regulatory codes and client expectations. The Construction Supervisor is instrumental in driving efficiency minimizing delays and fostering a safe productive work environment across all phases of construction.

Responsibilities:

Supervise daily construction activities to ensure compliance with project plans blueprints and safety regulations.
Interpret and apply architectural and engineering drawings specifications and technical documents with precision.
Develop and manage detailed job schedules monitor progress and implement corrective actions to keep projects on track.
Conduct regular site inspections to assess construction quality and ensure adherence to quality control standards.
Lead train and mentor on-site crews promoting accountability safety awareness and teamwork.
Coordinate with subcontractors suppliers and project stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
Maintain accurate records of work progress material usage labor hours and safety incidents.
Identify and resolve on-site issues promptly minimizing disruptions and cost overruns.
Implement and enforce OSHA and local safety protocols to maintain a hazard-free work environment.
Report project status risks and milestones to the Project Manager and relevant departments.

Requirements

Requirements:

Diploma or Certificate in Building Construction Civil Engineering Technology or a related field.
3 years of hands-on experience in construction site supervision or similar roles.
Strong knowledge of building and construction methods materials and systems.
Proficient in blueprint reading and technical document interpretation.
Demonstrated ability in job scheduling task prioritization and timeline management.
Experience in construction quality control processes and inspection protocols.
Proven leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and direct diverse work crews.
Skilled in resource planning including labor equipment and material allocation.
Familiarity with construction software (e.g. MS Project AutoCAD or similar) is an advantage.
Valid drivers license and ability to work in outdoor physically demanding environments.
Commitment to safety compliance and continuous improvement in construction practices.
