Role Summary

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Lead dMRV / Compliance Officer to oversee the facilitys Digital Monitoring Reporting and Verification (dMRV) programme. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate data collection carbon accounting compliance reporting and adherence to carbon credit certification requirements. This role is critical in maintaining the integrity traceability and compliance of the facilitys carbon monitoring and reporting systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain the facilitys dMRV system to ensure efficient and accurate data collection and reporting.
  • Ensure the accuracy completeness and traceability of production and carbon accounting data.
  • Prepare monitoring reports compliance documentation and supporting records required for certification and verification processes.
  • Coordinate internal and external audits inspections and verification activities.
  • Liaise with auditors verifiers certification bodies and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Train and support facility staff on dMRV data collection procedures reporting requirements and compliance standards.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with applicable carbon standards protocols and reporting frameworks.
  • Identify data quality issues and implement corrective actions to maintain data integrity.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to monitoring reporting verification and compliance systems.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelors Degree in Environmental Science Data Science Engineering Agronomy Sustainability or a related field.
  • Minimum of three (3) years experience in carbon markets Monitoring Reporting and Verification (MRV) sustainability reporting environmental compliance or environmental data management.
  • Familiarity with biochar carbon standards such as European Biochar Certificate (EBC) and International Biochar Initiative (IBI) standards will be an added advantage.
