The successful candidate will own the practices commercial growth agenda in its entirety: market positioning client pipeline development corporate and institutional partnerships referral network architecture and the cultivation of a brand presence that is as credible as the clinical offering it represents. This is a role that demands equal measures of vision and execution patience and persistence and the kind of commercial instinct that cannot be taught. The right individual will have operated with distinction at a senior level within high-end environments possessing the cultural intelligence personal authority and professional gravitas to engage with chief executives board members diplomatic principals and high-net-worth individuals as a peer not a vendor. They will bring to this role a mindset that is entrepreneurial in its appetite rigorous in its approach and relentless in its pursuit of results. Above all they will understand that in this market trust is the foundational currency and they will know with precision how to earn it sustain it and translate it into commercial outcomes of lasting value to the practice.

The longevity and preventive medicine sector in East Africa is at an inflection point. Awareness of advanced diagnostics biomarker-led health optimization and evidence-based prevention is accelerating rapidly among executive professional and high-net-worth demographics and the competitive landscape while still forming is doing so with increasing pace and sophistication. Institutions that establish authority trust and brand presence now will define the category; those that wait will inherit a market already shaped by others. Our client is entering this space with a differentiated clinical offering a clear and deliberate positioning at the premium end of the sector and an unambiguous ambition to lead. The Business Development Manager is not a peripheral or supporting appointment in that context they are a foundational commercial pillar of the practices growth strategy and the individual who will in large part determine how quickly and how powerfully that ambition is realised.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and drive a bold commercial strategy that establishes the practice as the premium destination of choice for longevity and preventive healthcare in the region.
Build own and convert a structured pipeline of high-value clients executives professionals international visitors and high-net-worth individuals from initial contact through to committed recurring patients.
Identify approach and close strategic partnerships with corporates multinationals diplomatic missions luxury hotels elite fitness and wellness brands private banks and complementary medical practices.
Design and package corporate executive health programmes as a structured commercial offering positioned and priced for the premium end of the market.
Own the practices external brand presence including digital strategy thought leadership content and representation at high-value industry and social events.
Monitor the competitive landscape across the regional wellness longevity and private healthcare space and bring forward sharp timely recommendations to sharpen the practices positioning.
Represent the practice at the most senior level in all commercial conversations with the polish confidence and depth of knowledge required to be credible with a sophisticated audience.
Report to the Medical Director with clarity and commercial rigour: pipeline status conversion metrics partnership progress and forward strategy backed by data and delivered with conviction.
Bachelors degree in business marketing or a relevant field; an advanced degree or professional qualification is a distinct advantage.
A minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in a business development commercial or senior client relationship role with a clear and demonstrable track record of building pipelines closing high-value partnerships and driving revenue growth within a premium or complex service environment.
Prior experience within the healthcare wellness medical aesthetics life sciences or preventive health sector is highly desirable; candidates from luxury hospitality private banking financial services or other trust-led high-net-worth service industries will equally be considered where the commercial pedigree is strong.
Proven experience engaging directly and independently with senior executives board members diplomatic principals or high-net-worth individuals with the composure credibility and personal authority to do so with ease and consistency.
A background in environments where client trust discretion and the quality of the relationship are the product not merely a by-product of service delivery.
A commercially restless and intellectually curious mind someone who identifies opportunity instinctively structures it with rigour and drives it to conclusion with discipline.
Strong command of CRM systems commercial performance reporting and digital brand and marketing platforms.
Exceptional communication and presentation skills articulate and persuasive in writing compelling and assured in person.
Impeccable personal presentation with the cultural intelligence social fluency and natural authority to operate with distinction at the level this clientele demands.

Required Skills:
A Bachelors degree or Diploma in Business administration Hospitality Medical support field or a relevant field. Qualification in hospitality management office administration front office operations or a related field is preferred. At least 5 years in a client-facing role with experience in a premium clinic luxury hotel executive services environment or a similarly high-standard setting is strongly preferred. Comfortable with scheduling software billing systems and clinic or CRM management tools. Fluent and articulate in English; proficiency in Kiswahili is a distinct advantage. Naturally warm poised and calm under pressure someone who projects ease even when managing complexity. Meticulous about detail: in records in communication and in the environment they maintain.
