Job Overview

The Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records supporting month-end closing activities and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal controls. The role supports day-to-day accounting operations while providing reliable financial information to aid management decision-making within a hospitality environment.


Key Responsibilities

Financial Transactions & Record Keeping

  • Manage daily accounting operations including accounts payable accounts receivable and general ledger entries

  • Prepare review and post journal entries with appropriate documentation and account coding

  • Perform bank supplier and balance sheet reconciliations in a timely manner

  • Maintain accurate financial records in line with internal policies and procedures

Month-End Close & Reporting

  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes including accruals and adjustments

  • Prepare financial reports schedules and reconciliations for management review

  • Assist in analyzing variances and trends to support operational and financial planning

Compliance & Internal Controls

  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards tax regulations and internal financial controls

  • Assist with internal and external audits by preparing schedules and responding to audit queries

  • Support continuous improvement of financial controls and accounting processes

Cash & Vendor Management

  • Monitor cash movements and assist with cash flow management

  • Manage supplier accounts statements reconciliations and payment processing

  • Liaise with vendors and internal departments to resolve billing or payment discrepancies

Cross-Functional Support

  • Work closely with operations procurement and administration teams to ensure accurate financial data

  • Support finance leadership with ad-hoc reports analysis and special projects as required



Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field

  • Certified Public Accountant certification (CPA-K)

  • 35 years of relevant accounting experience preferably in hospitality service or property environments
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting

  • Proficiency in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel

  • High level of accuracy organisation and attention to detail

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
