SPA Director

We are looking for an experienced strategic and results-oriented SPA Director to lead the SPA & Wellness Department at Swissôtel Wellness Resort Alatau Almaty.

The position will be responsible for the effective management of all SPA operations driving revenue and sales maintaining high service standards ensuring guest satisfaction and leading and developing the SPA team.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic & Financial Management:

• Develop and implement the SPA & Wellness strategy;
• Prepare and control the department budget revenue and operating costs;
• Drive sales profitability and overall financial performance of the SPA;
• Analyze financial and operational performance and identify opportunities for improvement;
• Develop and implement initiatives to increase revenue treatment room utilization and average guest spend.

Operational Management:

• Oversee the daily operations of the SPA & Wellness Department;
• Ensure compliance with hotel brand and SPA standards policies and procedures;
• Maintain high standards of guest service hygiene sanitation and safety;
• Monitor the quality of massages beauty treatments SPA rituals and wellness services;
• Ensure the availability and proper use of professional cosmetics equipment supplies and amenities;
• Develop and regularly update the SPA treatment menu packages and pricing;
• Monitor market trends and competitor activities within the SPA wellness and beauty industry.

Sales Marketing & Guest Experience:

• Develop and implement sales and promotional initiatives to increase SPA revenue;
• Develop and maintain a strong customer base and increase guest loyalty;
• Work closely with Sales & Marketing to develop SPA promotions packages and loyalty programs;
• Monitor guest feedback and take appropriate corrective actions;
• Ensure a consistently high level of guest satisfaction and personalized service;
• Develop and maintain partnerships with professional cosmetic brands and other business partners.

Team & People Management:

• Lead train motivate and develop the SPA team;
• Ensure compliance with grooming service and professional standards;
• Participate in recruitment and selection of SPA employees;
• Conduct regular training coaching and performance assessments;
• Build a strong professional and service-oriented team;
• Ensure effective communication and cooperation within the department and with other hotel departments.

Qualifications :

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree or equivalent;
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in SPA Wellness Beauty Hospitality or related service industry;
• Previous experience in a senior SPA management position;
• Experience in an international 45 star hotel or luxury SPA is preferred;
• Strong experience in managing teams and SPA operations;
• Good understanding of SPA financial performance budgeting sales and revenue management;
• Knowledge of SPA treatments wellness services and professional cosmetics;
• Strong understanding of guest service and luxury hospitality standards;
• Fluent English is mandatory;
• Knowledge of Russian is an advantage;
• Strong leadership communication analytical and organizational skills.
