Senior Data Engineer

EMCD is a leading technology company in the crypto industry best known as the largest mining pool in Eastern Europe. We are expanding globally and building a comprehensive ecosystem of crypto services including payment infrastructure custody mining solutions and enterprise-grade tools for businesses and institutions.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer to help scale and evolve our data platform. This role combines hands-on engineering work with architectural thinking and close collaboration across teams. You will play a key role in building reliable data infrastructure improving data quality and enabling teams across the company to make faster and more informed decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain scalable ELT pipelines using dbt and BigQuery following software engineering best practices such as testing documentation and CI/CD workflows.
• Develop and orchestrate reliable workflows with Airflow ensuring high observability and stable pipeline performance.
• Manage and optimize cloud-based data infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform.
• Monitor pipeline health troubleshoot issues and continuously improve data quality and warehouse reliability.
• Partner closely with stakeholders to design accurate well-structured and easy-to-use data models.
• Contribute to internal tooling data contracts and the development of data warehouse standards and best practices.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in Data Engineering or Analytics Engineering roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with dbt including models testing documentation and incremental strategies.
• Proficiency with BigQuery or other modern cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake or Redshift.
• Experience building and maintaining orchestration workflows with tools like Airflow Prefect or similar platforms.
• Good understanding of cloud infrastructure fundamentals across GCP AWS or Azure including storage compute and IAM concepts.
• Advanced SQL skills and practical experience using Python for pipeline development.
• Understanding of data modeling principles including dimensional modeling and star or snowflake schemas.
• Experience working with Git and CI/CD workflows in production environments.
