About the Role
Our client is seeking experienced and safety-focused Diamond or Multipurpose Drillers to join a large-scale mineral exploration drilling project in Kazakhstan.
The successful candidates will have strong operational experience in Diamond drilling preferably with Schramm EDM or Sandvik drill rigs and the ability to work effectively in remote exploration environments.
This is a FIFO position operating on a 6 weeks on / 3 weeks off roster with site accommodation meals and all travel provided from the point of hire. Candidates with experience operating Schramm 685 rigs and drilling programs to depths of approximately up to 1500 metres in depth will be highly regarded.

Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor Diamond and multipurpose drilling rigs in accordance with project specifications and safety standards
- Conduct Diamond drilling programs to approximately 1500metres ensuring optimum productivity and sample quality
- Perform pre-start inspections routine maintenance and basic mechanical troubleshooting of drilling equipment
- Monitor drilling parameters and adjust operating techniques to maximise penetration rates and recovery
- Maintain accurate drilling records production reports and shift documentation
- Ensure sample integrity and compliance with geological and client requirements
- Supervise and mentor Driller Assistants and support crew members
- Participate in rig mobilisations demobilisations and site setup activities
- Comply with all company client and site-specific HSE procedures and standards
- Participate in daily toolbox talks safety meetings and risk assessments
- Strong expertise in Diamondand/orMultipurpose Drilling operations
- Experience operating Schramm drilling equipment preferably Schramm 685 rigs or similar
- Sound understanding of drilling techniques sample recovery and exploration drilling best practices
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and rectify basic equipment issues
- Excellent safety awareness and commitment to maintaining safe work practices
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multicultural drilling team
- Strong communication and reporting skills
- Proven ability to perform in remote and challenging field environments
- Minimum 5 years experience in Diamondand/or Multipurpose mineral exploration drilling
- Proven experience conducting Diamond drilling programs to depths of approximately 1500 metres
- Previous experience operating Schramm drill rigs with Schramm 685 experience highly regarded
- Strong understanding of drilling operations sample recovery and exploration drilling best practices
- Experience working on FIFO or remote-site exploration projects
- Ability to work safely and effectively within multicultural teams in remote environments
- International drilling experience in Central Asia Mongolia Africa or similar regions considered advantageous
- Exposure to Diamond drilling methods preferred
- Valid passport with the ability to travel internationally and meet mobilisation requirements
- English language proficiency sufficient for workplace communication safety compliance and reporting
- Recognised Drilling Qualification Certificate III/IV in Drilling Operations or equivalent trade certificationissued by a recognized drilling training institute that is still operating to verify the qualification
- Current First Aid certification
- Valid HSE Safety or Site Induction certifications
- Heavy Vehicle Mobile Plant or Equipment Operating licences
