I would highly recommend UW to any traveler!Join the #1 hospital in Wisconsin!We are seeking a Registered Nurse to: The Emergency Department offers comprehensive services with access to a full team of subspecialists for our local and regional patients and referring hospitals and organizations. Over 60000 patients per year are treated on an urgent and emergent basis in our 58bed department; which includes a 10bed observation unit. Our staff coordinates care with ground ambulances and Med Flight for severely ill and injured patients. As the focal point for emergency care the Emergency Department performs diagnostic interventions offers immediate consultations for cardiac catheterization Level I trauma care acute stroke care burn center operative procedures special diagnostic testing and definitive care for all patients pediatrics to adults.Minimum Requirements: Facility Requirement: Traveler must have permanent address outside 50 mile radius of Madison (address must be included in travelers profile including resume/work experience medefis portal and all UWH disclosures/questionnaires submitted for compliance/onboarding). Experience: Two (2) years of Emergency Department experience with adult and pediatric populations within last 3 years. Traveler must have experience in an Academic Level 1 Trauma center. Successfully completed traveler assignment (13 weeks). Licensure and Certification: Traveler must have WI nursing license or compact license from their permanent address state. BLS ACLS PALS must be certified through American Heart Association ONLY.TNCC required. Reference Needs 2 completed references from recent work environment/assignments in the last two years (supervisor or manager only). Telemetry Exam Traveler must have Basic Arrhythmia experience. Traveler will be required to pass UW Health Telemetry test prior to being cleared to start (not for clinic positions). UW Health Recruitment will send instructions to traveler 23 weeks prior to start date. Floating Travelers are the first to float to floors working with children up to 1 year of age and/or based on the travelers competency skills/experience. The Traveler may have shifts scheduled in multiple units depending on the current staffing needs and/or different locations within the organization. During the traveler s assignment if the primary unit no longer has a need shifts will be reassigned to another unit in order to complete contract. **Maybe float between different locations as needed. Location: 600 Highland Ave Madison WI (Parking: permit required) and4602 Eastpark Boulevard Madison WI (Parking: Free) University Hospital in Madison is a Magnet designated facility that s ranked Wisconsin s #1 hospital and considered one of the nations leading hospitals teaching institutions and referral centers.

Shift: 36 hrs/week Evening rotation 8 and 12 hr shifts rotation as needed. Weekend rotation holidays required. *Could possibly be scheduled at both locations: University Hospital and East Madison Hospital. *Holiday RTO will not be approved for travel assignments.
