Job Title: Warehouse Manager

Location: Chennai

Department: Inventory & Logistics

Reports To: Director of Operations

Job Overview: The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing all warehouse operations including inventory management logistics safety and ensuring the effective and efficient management of resources. This role is pivotal in maintaining the accuracy of physical and book inventory records adhering to safety standards and ensuring timely dispatches. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in foundry manufacturing industries and a profound understanding of inventory analysis and management.


Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee all warehouse activities ensuring they are executed in a safe efficient and costeffective manner.
  • Maintain detailed inventory reports using MS Office Excel and PowerPoint and ensure the accuracy of physical versus book inventory monthly.
  • Ensure all warehouse operations adhere to industrial safety standards and protocols.
  • Supervise and direct the documentation of all foundry reports delivering comprehensive updates to top management and clients as required.
  • Manage store operations with a focus on optimizing space utilization dispatch efficiency and timely job completion with high quality.
  • Implement and oversee an effective inventory management system with a depth of knowledge in ERP systems related to stores accounting.
  • Develop and apply inventory analysis methods such as ABC and costing methods for accurate inventory valuation.
  • Lead and manage teams fostering a collaborative environment to meet operational goals.
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors to ensure that operations meet the latest industry safety standards and manufacturing processes.

Qualifications:

  • Master s degree in Materials Management Bachelor of Engineering (BE) or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Proven experience in a managerial role within a foundry manufacturing industry.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Extensive knowledge of ERP systems and inventory management practices.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization and external stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Willingness to travel as required by business needs.
