Vulnerability Management Coordinator

Must Have Technical/Functional Skills

• At least 5 years of experience in Vulnerability management.
• Bachelors Degree preferred.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
• Security certifications preferred.
• Identify information security policy and standards areas by leveraging inputs and observations from the peer analysis and information security strategy.
• Indepth knowledge of Federal IT security policies standards guidelines and industry best practices as well as a good understanding of the government certification and accreditation processes.
• At least 5 years of experience in Vulnerability management.
• Bachelors Degree preferred.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Reviewing and analyzing vulnerability data to identify trends and patterns.
• Advising employees responsible for remediation on the best reduction and remediation practices.
• Operating the vulnerability scanning tool set for example Nexpose and Tenable.
• Improving businesswide knowledge and understanding of emerging threats.
• Influencing the development of vulnerability management standards and security policies.
• Stand up the Vulnerability Management governance team.
• Operating vulnerability management processes suggesting applicable change controls and security exceptions.
• Designing and implementing vulnerability reporting and monitoring solutions.
• Maintaining and updating process guides.
• Assisting with reporting to leadership and service stakeholders.
• Assisting and supporting the manager in incident handling/investigations.
• Performing riskbased technical assessments on technical vulnerabilities.
• Collaborate with Customer Vulnerability Management team to prepare weekly Vulnerability Management program overview metrics reports for business groups/regions.
• Access Tanium reports and build reports and drive weekly meetings with Customer stakeholders.
• Timely follow up on remediation related alerts and action items.
• Tracking the outstanding issues and report to CISO & Business teams and work towards backlog reduction.
• Provide timely updates and status reports.
