Yorktown Search Partners is currently engaged in a confidential search on behalf of our client for a Vice President to lead the Origination team nationally within the commercial mortgage sector. This pivotal role demands a seasoned expert in commercial real estate finance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and expand the Origination team nationwide leveraging established teams and recruiting new members.
  • Develop and execute origination strategies aligned with our clients longterm Strategic Plan.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and oversee daytoday operations to achieve business targets.
  • Foster key customer relationships and identify opportunities for business growth.
  • Collaborate with Investment Management on underwriting due diligence and investor approval processes.
  • Develop and implement national marketing and sales strategies through various channels.
  • Drive innovation and adaptability to market changes recommending policy and product enhancements.

Leadership and Governance:

  • Champion the companys vision mission and values internally and externally.
  • Lead develop and retain a highperformance origination team.
  • Establish performance standards promote innovation and ensure compliance.
  • Represent the company in relationships with major stakeholders and industry groups.
  • Ensure team members are properly licensed and compliant with legislative requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10 years experience in the Canadian commercial mortgage market.
  • 23 years leadership experience with a focus on team development.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite.
  • Strong communication organizational and analytical skills.
  • Bachelors Degree in Business preferred with professional designations considered an asset.
  • Mortgage Broker License required.
