Position Summary
As Video Editor, you will serve as the official editor for all things First Direct and client related,editing mission-based objectives and supporting content creation for digital. As video has become the best way for communicating the companys messages on online platforms, your position will play an important role in our companys success.
Ensure success as a Video Editor, you should have expert knowledge of modern video editing techniques, be able to visualize directorial concepts and work according to a strict time schedule. Ultimately, a top-notch Video Editor can perfectly translate a Marketers idea into a beautifully crafted film or video piece, worthy of digital.

Requirements

PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES
  • Work closely with the Marketing Manager and Videographer to determine production vision.
  • Edit video footage using modern editing programs Adobe CC (Premier Pro and After Effects)
  • Creating editing content for digital across many different platforms
  • Archive footage in a highly organized manner
  • Inserting intentional dialog, sound effects, music, graphics, and special effects to enhance the story.
  • Creating content that drives results.
  • Exporting and proofing final cuts for broadcasting.
  • Edit photos in line with brand guidelines
  • Assist in using a studio space for live calls and other video content

KEY COMPETENCIES
  • Proven work experience as an editor
  • Ability to work fast under tight deadlines
  • Expert in motion graphics and storytelling
  • Detail oriented and keeps record of all footage and photos
  • Proficient in Office365, Adobe Suite, Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Project Management Applications
  • Self-motivated and resourceful; wants to take initiative, sees a need and creates a solution
  • Excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize and strong attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to enthusiastically communicate with various functions at multiple levels in the organization both in-person and in writing

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Demonstrated success content creation and project oversight (3+ years)
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
