Trade Finance Specialist

Our company is a sucessful physical trading company in petrochemicals with worldwide presence, headquartered in Zug / Switzerland.

To strenghten the Trade Finance / Treasury Team, we are looking for a committed person as

Trade Finance Specialist

Your Tasks:

• Responsible for guiding and executing all Trade Finance activities for a designated operations team.
• Presenting and following up on transactional financing matters with financing banks.
• Approving of issuing and/or confirming banks, reviewing and processing of Export Documentary Letters of Credits (Doc LCs), Standby Letters of Credit (SBLC) and Bank Guarantees.
• Issuing, amending and paying of Import Doc LCs, SBLCs & Guarantees.
• Checking and approving of LC presentations and claims under Export & Import Doc LCs, SBLCs & Guarantees.
• Negotiating and approving of fees with financing banks.
• Updating of all trade finance information in the database.

Your profile:

• At least 3-5 years of operational work experience in a Trade Finance function within a global trading company and/or banking industry
• Ideally existing relationship with major European banks
• Good technical and practical knowledge of UCP 600/ISP 98/URC 522 and Incoterms.
• Understanding of bank s facility letters.
• enyoing working in a very active trading environment with tough deadlines and being responsible for one s own files in the section
• Excellent communication skills written and spoken in English, any other language is welcome
• Strong negotiation skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing market conditions and think outside of the box .
• Strong Excel skills would be an advantage.
• Swiss national or holder of a Swiss work permit.
