As a Tax Manager your role will involve leveraging your past experiences to deliver tax compliance and advisory services to investment management clients. Youll be responsible for conducting thorough analysis devising effective solutions and overseeing the implementation of clients tax strategies. Managing client relationships will be a key aspect of your position as youll be tasked with providing tax advisory services directly to clients.
Additionally your responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive reviews of tax research partner work papers allocations and tax filings.
Leading and facilitating client meetings to discuss compliance and advisory projects focusing on tax planning opportunities and the tax implications of various transactions.
Providing training guidance and supervision to both new and seasoned Tax Consultants and Tax Seniors.
Acting as the primary point of contact for key clients.
Conducting billing and profitability analyses for engagements.
Contributing to the development of the firms reputation and market presence through various initiatives
Required:
Ability to perform job responsibilities within a hybrid work model that requires US Tax professionals to colocate in person 2 3 days per week
Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or other businessrelated field
5 years experience providing tax planning services or preparing and reviewing client work papers and income tax returns
3 years experience with investment management or partnership taxation
Experience managing projects including scheduling budgeting client correspondence and billing
Experience working in a fastpaced team environment
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to travel up to 25% on average based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
One of the following accreditations obtained:
Licensed CPA in state of practice/primary office if eligible to sit for the CPA
If not CPA eligible:
Licensed Attorney
Enrolled Agent
Certifications:
Chartered Financial Advisor (CFA)
Certified Financial Planner (CFP)
Preferred:
Previous Big 4 experience or large CPA firm equivalent
Knowledge of fund accounting and general ledger accounting
