Polestar is blazing a new trail dedicating ourselves to the development and refinement of electric vehicle performance. We are currently looking for a Systems Engineer Complete Vehicle Mode and Energy Control. Your broad automotive experience will be invaluable to us both in concept work and when working with current designs for increased customer satisfaction

You will be an integral part of a team with a mission to deliver Vehicle Mode Management and Base technologies like:

  • Vehicle and Car Mode Management (VMM)
  • Software Download and OTA
  • Diagnostics
  • Car Configuration
  • AutoSAR

What youll do

You are primarily to focus on the area of thecomplete vehicle mode and energy controland in time also expected to support in other areas. This presents a chance to expand your general knowledge in an array of automotive technologies. Example of work items expended are:

  • Successfully deliver mode management and Base Technologies for multiple programs on time and to meet or exceed cost design and quality targets.
  • Assist in defining the vision and ambitions of the platform technology development.
  • Support in defining methods tools and processes to ensure maximum efficiency.
  • Support development future strategies and technology roadmaps including highlighting new development required to deliver new product content.
  • Set requirements on systems and functions to create a consistent behavior on a vehicle level
  • Manage existing requirements and assist in updating applicable documentation (HARA TARA etc) when needed
  • Support technical discussions with suppliers internal teams and partner OEM(s)
  • Assist in planning and monitoring of needed activities to integrate electrical technologies into new vehicle programs.
  • Prepare status reports and feedback to the project & line management teams.

Required Experience:

  • Relevant experience in electrical & software development within the Automotive industry.
  • Previous experience with complete vehicle mode and energy control.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
  • Good understanding of Automotive Electrical system.
  • Electrical Electronic Systems Electromechanical Automotive or similar engineering degree. Other recognized engineering qualifications combined with relevant experience may be considered.

Desired Experience but not a must:

  • Practical experience of vehicle electrical architectures based upon Ethernet CAN LIN and FlexRay is highly desired.
  • Experience of the full product lifecycle from concept through to vehicle launch.
  • Experience of Automotive product development systems (VPDS FPDS GPDS NPDS etc) and release processes within the automotive sector.
  • Experience of delivering electrical systems in accordance with Safety & Security requirements.
