Our client is a leading payment telecom and enterprise solutions company that has been licensed by the Nigerian Communications Commission as a Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MNVO) in Nigeria seeks for an a highly motivated and detailoriented Switch /Billing Network Engineer to join the technical team. The ideal person will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining the network infrastructure within the Network Operations Center (NOC) while also ensuring accurate and efficient billing operations. This role combines technical skills with a strong understanding of billing processes making it a vital part of our clients networks smooth operation and financial accuracy.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Proactively monitor network performance and identify potential issues through various monitoring tools and alerts.
  • Provide 24/7 network monitoring and support on all operational Core network equipment.
  • Perform operation and maintenance on core network elements to achieve network availability.
  • Facilitate the integrate of new network nodes.
  • Implement change requests resolve fault escalations and ensure TTs are accurately closed within MTTR.
  • Ensure effective implementation and maintenance of all SIP connections.
  • Ensure routine and corrective maintenance on SIP nodes.
  • Generate incidence reports for core network occurrences Daily weekly and monthly.
  • Implement software upgrades and hardware replacements on core networks.
  • Perform network impact analyses of change requests and software upgrades on core nodes.
  • Perform daily network traffic and KPI trend analysis reports.
  • Carry out periodic audits on core network nodes and B number analyses.
  • Perform periodic service tests on the network.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity problems ensuring network uptime and user satisfaction.
  • Analyze network traffic patterns and identify opportunities for optimization and performance improvement.
  • Implement changes and configurations to the network infrastructure as needed following proper change management procedures.
  • Collaborate with other network support teams to ensure efficient problem resolution.
  • Analyze and investigate discrepancies in billing CDR and work towards resolving them promptly.
  • Configure and maintain billing systems to ensure accurate and efficient billing cycles.
  • Generate reports on network usage and billing metrics for various stakeholders.
  • Adhere to company policies and regulations related to billing practices.


Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science/Engineering Electrical Electronics Information Technology or a related field (preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a Network Operations Center (NOC)/ billing systems or similar environment.
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking protocols and technologies.
  • Experience with network monitoring tools and troubleshooting methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fastpaced environment.


Bachelor s degree/equivalent in Business Administration, Electrical Electronics Engineering/Computer Science/Information Technology. 4+ year experience in strategic Account/Sales facing roles in IT/ Software/ Telecoms or relevant industries. A high sense of urgency and deep interest in serving the customer Hands-on functional understanding of multiple cybersecurity solutions like; Check Point, Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet FortiGate, Palo Alto, PAM, SIEM, NAC, WAF, DLP, etc. Hands-on functional understanding of security, vulnerability assessment, and penetration testing tools Meet or exceed quarterly and yearly product/service sales goals Strong selling, account management, and sales strategy development skills in a fast-paced mobile network environment. Strong client relationship development, Interpersonal and customer orientation skills Strong executive-level presentation, verbal, and written communication skills. Applied knowledge of business planning, and product and budget management skills. Ability to keep and maintain confidentiality and protection of sensitive business information. Ability to independently manage, resolve difficulties and achieve business outcomes. Must have excellent customer orientation skills
