Job Summary

We are seeking a Safety Superintendent who will support operations managers and their teams in implementing and adhering to best practices aimed at minimizing health and safety risks for our event teams from chemical and metallurgical processes used in our facilities. This is an excellent opportunity to demonstrate your authority and technical knowledge in supporting maintenance process development production engineering teams and the SSES function of the plant to enhance safety performance and knowledge.

Reporting to the Health Safety Environment Security and Operational Safety Business Partner within a collaborative team in a dynamic environment.

Requirements:

• Demonstrated experience in team management and leadership.
• Bachelors degree or equivalent combined with solid experience in Health and Safety.
• Ability to interact at all levels of the organization.
• Ability to influence strategies and translate them into practical and effective solutions.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills and ability to work in a team.
• Experience in implementing supporting and promoting global initiatives.
• Proficiency in spoken and written French and basic knowledge of English. This Company is a global company and the functions of this position may require collaboration with colleagues teams or partners based outside Quebec.
• Available for sporadic travel.
• Diverse experience in multiple industries or different areas of operations (operations maintenance engineering process).
