Supply Chain Manager

Growing Food Co 30 mins west of Chico, California has a need for a Supply Chain Manager. This is a direct hire role with a full benefits package.

The Supply Chain Manager leads the procurement and co-packing planning functions, working closely with demand planning, operations, and sales to ensure consistent supply and fulfilment of goods. The role ensures inventory, materials and resources are readily available to meet demand. Exercises good working knowledge of goods, services, and sources to ensure on-time delivery and purchases at prices consistent with quality and volume requirements. Directs and coordinates the activities of personnel engaged in purchasing manufacturing consumables, components, and co-packed finished goods. Develops key supply relationships to support collaborative and partnering initiatives. Responsible for budgetary requirements and KPI’s associated with all activities above. Essential Functions Specific Responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to the following: • Develop and establish strategic relationships with suppliers and negotiate and secure best-in-class terms and conditions. Understand the trade-offs between cost, volume, and quality to strike agreements that meet performance criteria and secure long term supply continuity • Source new categories of goods for NPI and be a key member of the NPI process • Manage and maintain strong relationships with all co-packers and raw material suppliers from selection to scheduling of production and delivery of goods • Manage the Lucini business from selection of suppliers, annual commitments for both raw materials and finished goods to ensuring product ships and arrives to meet demand • Oversee budget process and management of P & L expenses for all areas of supply • Set high level performance expectations and monitor results • Supervise and coach direct reports in the performance of their duties; completes performance reviews and provides feedback to direct reports • Must possesses critical thinking skills, can build, and drive a team’s vision and achieve results • Provide subject matter expertise around strategic sourcing including, but not limited to supplier selections, RFP/RFQ preparations, price negotiations and contract analysis.

Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in business or Supply Chain Management • 5-10 years applicable supply chain leadership experience required •Must be willing to travel 25% of the time.
