Job Summary:

Be part of our client s team as a Staff Accountant contributing significantly to the accounting department. Focus on key responsibilities including general ledger functions and accounts payables ensuring precision and compliance with established accounting principles. The ideal candidate will showcase strong Excel skills and a comprehensive understanding of accounting concepts such as journal entries reconciliations and financial reporting.

Employment type: Full Time
Shift: Mon Fri 09:00 PM 06:00 AM
Work Setup: Temporary WFH; Any PH office (NCR Pampanga Baguio)

Responsibilities:
  • Perform daily general ledger functions including recording and posting journal entries account reconciliations and adjusting entries.
  • Assist in the procurement intake and vendor bills to ensure an accurate Accounts Payable workflow.
  • Drive efficiencies in the financial close and seek out new ways for process improvement.
  • Reconcile various general ledger accounts ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting principles and internal policies.
  • Assist in preparing accurate and timely financial statements including balance sheets income and cash flow statements.
  • Utilize advanced Excel skills to analyze and manipulate financial data creating reports and dashboards to support decisionmaking processes.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure the accurate and timely completion of monthend close procedures.
  • Assist the SarbanesOxley team with IT Audit projects.
  • Assist in developing and implementing accounting policies and procedures to improve efficiency and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Provide support during internal and external audits ensuring the timely and accurate completion of audit requests.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes and streamline workflows for increased efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Perform adhoc financial analysis and reporting as needed.
Qualifications Needed:

Personal Competencies:

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problemsolving skills and work ethic.
  • Excellent verbal written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Detailoriented with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Selfmotivated and able to meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to multitask prioritize and manage time effectively.

Technical Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel including formulas pivot tables and data visualization tools.
  • Familiarity with accounting software (Quickbooks Oracle Netsuite etc.).
  • Knowledge of US GAAP and other accounting standards.
  • Experience in matching PO and vendor s invoices to ensure accuracy.
  • CPA certification is a plus.
