Sr Solution Architect - AWS - South

Responsibilities

• We are looking for hands-on cloud architects who will work with other Professional Services consultants in a project to:
  
• Dive deep into inventory and application data of the customer s on-premises / cloud services to assess the portfolio and develop decision criteria to create initial migration wave plans.
  
• Analyse the customer s existing infrastructure design including network, storage, computing resources, along with the operational processes / policies to design a secure, robust, and highly tolerant multi-account AWS environment based on AWS best practices.
  
• Develop required operating and governance models and help customers to migrate applications to AWS.
  
• Work thoroughly based on the cloud best practises to ensure optimized solutions as pe the AWS well architected pillars.
  
• Help customers and partners to be prepared for cloud operations and identify the areas for automation to accelerate the migration and transformation of the organization.
  
• Establish the future operating model for cloud and plan, guide and support an efficient progression of the operational model during the migration.
  

BASIC Qualification / Technical Skills

• Experience facilitating discussions with senior leadership regarding technical / architectural trade-offs, best practices, and risk mitigation
  
• Direct hands-on experience leading the design, development, and deployment of business software at scale or recent hands-on technology infrastructure, network, compute, storage, and virtualization experience.
  
• Experience with integration of cloud services with on-premises technologies from Microsoft, IBM, Oracle, HP, SAP etc.
  
• Experience in various virtualized environments.
  
• Excellent exposure Cloud Technologies (Amazon Web Services) with Strong understanding about all available AWS cloud services in IaaS & PaaS offerings.
  
• Familiarity with datacentre concepts and best practices, high-availability systems, capacity planning, system performance evaluation, and diagnostic techniques and methodologies.
  
• Knowledge about RESTful APIs and to architect cloud ready applications.
  
• Good understanding with respect to both Infra & Application working / flow / deployment.
  
• Good understanding of DevOps technologies such as CI/CD, Containers etc
  

• Strong track record of implementing AWS services in a variety of distributed computing environments
  
• Leading highly available and fault-tolerant enterprise and web-scale software deployments
  
• Large scale migration experience: Data Centre to Data Centre and/or Data Centre to Cloud
  
• Scripting and/or coding skills in Infrastructure orchestration & automation tools (Examples include but are not limited to: CloudFormation, Terraform, Ansible, Python, PowerShell, Bash).
  
• Would be an added advance if have capability to develop automation scripts (using Python / Jython / Shell / Power shell/ VB scripts) and batch files for automation of system and application administration on cloud.
  
• Strong practical Linux and Windows-based systems administration skills in a Cloud or Virtualized environment
  
• Architectural leadership experience with microservices and distributed applications, such as containers, Kubernetes, and/or serverless technology.
  
• Experience managing data center operations, including data assurance, monitoring, alerting and notifications
  
• Experience with software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile/iterative methodologies.
  
• Demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges
  

Requirements

• 3-6 yrs of overall experience with 2 to 3 years of hand-on experience on Cloud Services/Platforms in AWS/Azure.
  
• Working experience Hybrid infra along with exposure to Application stack deployment understanding.
  
• Good to have service delivery exposure.
  
• Excellent presentation, oral communication skills and negotiation skills.
  
• Experience in large project assessment / migration / implementation using IaaS and PaaS provided by Cloud Providers.
  
• Good to have Data centre or application transformation exposure.
  
• Exposure to assessment tools like Cloudamize, Risk etc.
  
• Strong communication skills to effectively communicate, make strategic recommendations to Sr. Mgmt. as well as all levels of internal/external service partners.
  
• Create good presentations with all relevant information geared to win deals and make the internal customers see value of the Rapyder.
  
• Closed at least 4-5 Big Deals on Cloud Migration/ Workload Hosting/Application Development/SAAS Offering.
  
• Any Cloud Certifications at professional level is must.
