Sr Software Embedded Engineer

Responsibilities

Specification, design, implementation, and testing of both bare metal and RTOS low

level software for power electronics applications

Work with/resolve ambiguity in requirements/specifications/designs

Design and specify interfaces between application software and firmware

Design, develop, implement and test multicore interfaces and applications

Develop multicore, timing critical software architectures

Create elegant, efficient real time software components and interfaces

Develop software component testing methodologies and implementations to ensure

maturity/stability/release readiness

Work with hardware and debuggers at a bench and HIL level to verify software

operation

Design ISO26262 compliant software

Document requirements, software design and test procedures and results

Qualifications

Fluency in state-of-the-art embedded software practices using the C programming

language

Proficiency in version control software processes and techniques (GitFlow, GitLab)

Ability to write testing scripts for using scripting languages (Python)

Knowledge of software build procedures and the ability to maintain build scripts (SCons

preferred, CMake, Makefile)

Strong background in real-time software component design and testing

Knowledge of ISO26262 practices preferred

At least a bachelor s degree in computer engineering, electrical engineering or

computer science. Master s degree preferred

5+ years software development experience with real-time embedded C systems

Proficiency in developing and fabricating test fixtures using tools, equipment, and materials Familiarity with electrical and mechanical measurements and the use of relevant instruments Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues related to test fixtures and setups. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to ensuring accurate and precise physical measurements Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey technical information Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team Strong organization skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively Proficiency in Microsoft suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint,) Capable of performing physical work which may require lifting objects weighing up to 30-50 pounds occasionally Basic awareness of safety standards and protocols around high voltage equipment (Nice to have) Familiarity with CAD software for test fixture design and development This is where you ll work: Department: Energy Storage Systems #IND
