Sr Quality Engineer

Provide quality engineering support to operations ensuring consistent application of quality techniques and compliance with quality requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintain ISO 9001:2015and AS9100D:2016 QMS
• Identify and participate in resolving products quality issues.
• Effectively communicate and reinforce clients commitment to quality improvement efforts.
• Collaborate with clients customers quality and engineering personnel to determine the root cause and generate an action plan for resolution.
• Review customers requirements Quality Notes (Q Notes) and alert Sales and Engineering of possible exceptional QNotes
• Participate in Advanced Product Quality Planning activities to determine the appropriate use of existing and new measurement systems during new tool or process design and startup.
• Facilitate and promote the use of appropriate problemsolving techniques for effective root cause analysis and successful corrective action.
• Support and generate AS9102 reports for complex assemblies.
• Coordinate with Sales Purchasing Engineering Production and CM to resolve customer complaints and concerns.
• Lead PPM improvement plan for strategic customers
• Apply appropriate use of statistical techniques to identify products and processes issues and trends.
• Participate in quality reporting and management review process.
• Manage quality metrics and present findings and recommendations to the management review team.
• Regularly interact with all levels of customers QA Contract Manufacturers and all suppliers including issues and responding to SCAR
• Participate in suppliers qualifications.
• Calculating and estimating MTBF MTTR MTTM
• Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelors degree in engineering Mechanical or Electrical or Quality Systems Management
• 5 years of experience as a Quality Engineer in AS9100 QMS
• Intuitive understanding of mechanical engineering processes
• Experience in the electronics / electromechanical industry
• Experience with FAA Conformity Advantage
• Certified Quality Engineer preferred.
• Experience with internal and suppliers audit process
• Experience with CA/PA process
• Certified AS9100 auditor advantage
• Experience with FAI and AS9102 reporting process.
• Working knowledge of Reliability Analysis software preferred
• Current knowledge of MILSTD requirements

• Must be able to work onsite the standard 8 AM5 PM Monday Friday schedule and additional hours as necessary.
• Limited travel required.
