The Senior Manager of Marketing Operations will be a key contributor on the Marketing Operations Planning & Enablement team responsible for building and implementing a strategic framework for capturing customer communication business requirements, ensuring accurate execution of requirements, and overseeing marketing operations process improvement and automation initiatives. This role will partner across multiple business and technology teams to ensure we are delivering new and enhanced communications in a quality, scalable, and cost-effective way. This is an opportunity to influence and shape the customer experience across the 550M+ communications we send annuallynbsp; The successful candidate must be a self-starter and thought leader who possesses a strong record of accomplishment in standardizing and automating processes, as well as delivering strategic project requirementsnbsp; Responsibilities & Essential Functions Leads of team of individuals responsible for delivering business and technical requirements of all 1:1 communication across the enterprise including Direct Mail, Email, SMS, Push Notifications etc. Provides strategic leadership and leads change for campaign planning process improvement and automation initiatives Uncovers, details, and automates key cross-functional processes required to drive efficiency and effectiveness in our 1:1 customer communications delivery Gain buy-in from stakeholders and prioritize process improvement opportunities based on business value and implementation complexity Work closely with the CommsTech team to align benefits and purpose of new and existing platforms, becoming an evangelist for our technology capabilities Partners with Comms Strategy owners to develop and deliver all technical, targeting & data requirements to all campaign operations, CommsTech and technology teams Serve as a subject matter expert for project requirements and ensure all implementation teams have comprehensive and consistent input required to drive successful execution Tracks the creation of functional designs; identifies risks and benefits of alternate designs; calculates costs/benefits of potential actions or solutions to establish their viability/ROI; ensures business objectives are being met Develops methods to measure stakeholder satisfaction; obtains feedback at critical milestones and at project completion to ensure that project efforts meet customer expectations Facilitates program-related meetings and executive-ready presentations to senior leadership Exercises strong organizational leadership skills with direct reports and other subject matter experts Requirements Minimum BA/BS degree and 8 years of related experience with at least 3 years of experience in a management or leadership role, OR MS degree and 6 years of related experience, OR Ph.D. and 3 years of related experience OR 12 years of related experience 2+ years management experience with direct reports Project experience using Agile project delivery methodology and related tools such as Jira, VersionOne, Clarizen, etcnbsp; Experience related to Marketing Clouds or similar multi-channel marketing automation technologies; A e Campaign Classic experience preferred Strong ability to influence and evangelize the value of marketing technology Ability to set clear team objectives, motivate, and lead a high performing team Relationship building and collaboration skills to effective work with teams and leaders throughout organization Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication, with ability to adapt to different audiences Excellent presentation skills, with an aptitude for managing expectations between stakeholder groups Strong work ethic with the ability to adapt to situations, be flexible, resourceful, and nimble in terms of work planning, and the ability to think quickly on your feet Demonstrated ability to work with a sense of urgency Ability to foster and work in an inclusive environment Preferred Bachelors degree in Marketing, Operations Research, Computer Science, Information Technology Management, related discipline Experience in the telecommunications industry About Cox CommunicationsCox Communications is the largest private telecom company in America, serving six million homes and businesses.
