JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Design quote book and manage inbound and outbound journeys for the Sport and Leisure division with a focus on Marathons.
  
• Provide exclusive services to clients.
  
• Assist in Product Development to ensure current products meet market demand.
  
• Exceed client expectations meet operational deadlines and achieve sales targets.
  

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

CLIENT RELATIONSHIPS:

• Ensure client expectations are met with topnotch service.
  
• Offer runners/clients the s and products.
  
• Introduce creative ideas and review client offerings.
  
• Build and maintain relationships with clients and staff.
  
• Communicate effectively with clients and staff.
  
• Follow up with clients and leads.
  
• Manage and lead guests during travel.
  
• Travel with Marathon groups as needed.
  
• Understand the Marathon environment.
  
• Manage all ITOs appointed by the client.
  

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

• Adhere to client policies and specifications.
  
• Utilize Tourplan and Amadeus Ticketing.
  
• Understand marathon/runners needs.
  
• Comply with client policies and procedures.
  
• Prepare quotations and costings.
  
• Manage documentation for groups.
  
• Improve margins and lead operations positively.
  
• Provide exceptional customer care.
  
• Manage Zoho.
  

ADMINISTRATION:

• Understand and follow divisional procedures.
  
• Submit timely reports and maintain confidentiality.
  
• Ensure accurate costings for best value.
  

FINANCIAL REPORTING:

• Provide weekly and monthly financial reports.
  
• Monitor profitability and activity.
  
• Manage debtor and creditor payments.
  

TEAMWORK:

• Build relationships with division teams.
  
• Coach motivate and develop teams.
  
• Support all business units.
  
• Collaborate with sales and marketing.
  

SUPPLIER RELATIONSHIPS:

• Build relationships with preferred partners.
  
• Secure the best rates and understand supplier products.
  
• Source new products and negotiate client requirements.
  

LEARNING AND DEVELOPMENT:

• Develop product knowledge and attend industry events.
  
• Stay informed about industry trends.
  
• Attend relevant exhibitions and trade shows.
  

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

• Matric certificate.
  
• Travel & Tourism qualification.
  
• 35 years of experience in the Tourism Industry.
  
• Knowledge of the Marathon World is essential.
  
• Experience with Tourplan is required.
