Job Overview:

  • We are seeking a dynamic and experienced office tour agent / manager to lead our tour agency operations in Johannesbirg. The ideal candidate will have a passion for travel exceptional leadership skills and a proven track record in the tourism industry. As the Manager you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our tour agency including sales and marketing customer service staff management and business development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve business objectives and drive growth in sales and revenue.
  • Lead and motivate a team of tour consultants and support staff to deliver exceptional service and exceed customer expectations.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients suppliers and partners to ensure seamless operations and collaboration.
  • Manage the daytoday operations of the tour agency including booking management itinerary planning and logistics coordination.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards as well as company policies and procedures.
  • Prepare regular reports and analysis on key performance metrics financial performance and market trends.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Tourism Management Business Administration or related field.
  • Proven experience (5 years) in a managerial role within the tourism industry preferably in a tour agency or travel company.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate staff to achieve results.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Sound business acumen and strategic thinking with the ability to drive business growth and profitability.
  • Proficiency in travel reservation systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of local attractions destinations and travel products in South Africa and across Africa.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities in a fastpaced environment.
  • Passion for travel cultural diversity and sustainable tourism practices.
