A leading finance and tech firm in Africa is hiring a GCPskilled Software Quality Assurance & Support Team Lead to join its team. This role focuses on managing and mentoring our QA testing and support team driving process improvements and ensuring the delivery of highquality software products. The company renowned for its innovative lending solutions offers a dynamic and supportive work environment.


Position Overview:

As a Software Quality Assurance and Support Lead you will join the software development team to help build our worldclass software platform.


Your daily adventures include:
  • Lead and manage a team of QA analysts (currently 3) providing guidance mentoring and support.
  • Develop and implement testing strategies methodologies and best practices to enhance the overall quality assurance process.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams including developers QA analysts and product owners to ensure alignment between QA activities and development efforts.
  • Define and implement metrics for measuring reporting and improving the QA teams and support functions efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Manage the support function and standby schedule.
  • Oversee the support team ensuring timely and effective resolution of reported issues.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to gather feedback and implement improvements in software development and support workflows.
  • Foster a collaborative and positive team culture encouraging open communication and knowledge sharing.


Requirements

What it takes to succeed:

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent diploma in a relevant field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of practical experience in a software QA environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to empathise with end users.
  • Strong SQL query skills.
  • Previous leadership experience and role would be advantageous.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong understanding of software testing methodologies tools and best practices.
  • Meticulous attention to detail emphasising order quality and accuracy in work.
  • Fast and selflearning abilities adapting quickly to new technologies and methodologies.
  • Resultsoriented with a strong work ethic and a smart approach to tasks.
  • A strong interest in continuous development and upskilling in testing tools and technologies.
  • Genuine passion for Africa and a willingness to contribute to projects in a developing world context.
