Software Architect

Rust Belt Resources is partnering with a public sector client on a Software Architect role. The ideal person will have experience providing architectural design, development, and deployment of complex software systems. This is a 4-year long contract role available as 1099/C2C. The role is based out of Albany, NY.

Responsible for the system analysis, design and documentation of as-is systems, and other
related technical deliverables within theProgram.

Design of system and application architecture for the IES projects adhering to various reference
architectures provided.

Oversee and provide technical advice, guidance and support for projects.

Collaborate with various technical resources on continuous assessment of existing solutions for
reuse.

Collaborate with ITS Chief Technology Office in setting technical standards & frameworks for
the IES projects to align with enterprise standards.

Collaborate with Data Architect to build and maintain reference model architecture and
standards for communicating direction of information architecture.

Liaison with business/program stakeholders for enterprise architecture and strategy.

Participate in technical discussions with state, local and vendor implementation teams and -
technical deliverables to ensure alignment between proposed solutions and the programs
standards.

Present findings and recommendations to IES leadership to ensure alignment of technology
across work streams and escalate technical issues appropriately.

Explore, actively support and work on new technology initiatives that may be of interest to the
organization.

Actively participate in troubleshooting any technical issues that the program may have.

Requirements

Bachelors degree in computer science, or information systems or related field.

- Experience working on Health & Human services applications.

Required:

- 4-7+years of experience as an Architect

- 5+ yearsof experience in providing architectural design, development, and deployment of complex software systems.

- 3+ years of experience in designing system and application architecture of case management, financial management or claims systems.

Preferred:

- Experience working on highly complex projects that require in-depth knowledge acrossmultiple technical domains and business segments.

- Experience in Legacy re-engineering projects and analysis of open technology systemsinterfacing with legacy products.

- 3+years of experience with design & development of frameworks, reusablecomponents and shared services using .NET and JEE technology.

- Experience working with enterprise wide architectures and designs across multiple ITfunctional areas with the insight of identifying opportunities for capability reuse andbusiness transformation.

- 2+years of experience in evaluating software products to realize the systemarchitecture such as Business Process Management, Rules Engine, Notification system orPortal.

- Understanding or experience with foundational technology components including rulesengines, API gateway, BPM, IVR, noticing engine, workflow engines, middlewarecomponents, MDM, identity and access management and ETL.

Benefits

4 Year Long-term Contract (May 2022 - May 2026)

$90+/Hr.
